NOTES: I have visited the colony at Traboe Cross since 1989, though I was able to visit the site only once in 1991, on a wet, cold and windy evening in mid June when there were 16 females glowing within half a mile of the crossroads.
Further reports from this site would be very welcome, since it is useful to get continuity from year to year and from night to night. In 1990 I found four around the entrance to Croft Pascoe wood, along the road that runs south from the crossroads.
Because these roads are narrow but carry high-speed traffic, it is advisable to carry torches and wear light-coloured or preferably reflective clothing.
